Cake in Deptford

Deptford magazine OOXXOO put on another night at the Albany theatre, this time with The Invisible and Alexis from Hot Chip DJing (we were secretly hoping he would eat a cake but he didn't come by!). This was also the first outing of our new tablecoth with the logo screenprinted on by Alice, pretty cool!

Green Parlour 1st Birthday Party

On the 6th June the wonderful Green Parlour florist in Pangbourne had its first birthday party. We made a fair few tiny cakes and served some pimms and a tasty bramble cocktail! There was green dog biscuits for the little ones, glittery cakes, tiny meringues and chocolate eclairs, we probably consumed a fair few of those over the day! There was bunting and everything, a very summery affair!

Tuesday 19 May 2009

On the 6th of June we will be making cakes and serving drinks at the 1st birthday party of Green Parlour. Green Palour is an amazing florist in Pangbourne, near Reading, run by a good friend of The Cake Collective. So come along, or pop in and check it out some other time.
Below is the invite, designed by wonderful illustrator Danny Sturgess.

It's May, Time to eat cake!

It's almost summer and the time of the summer fete!

So at the May A Little Bazaar we had some '99' ice creams...
...fishes (for you to catch!)...
...flamingos...

...and hedgehogs of the albino variety for you to eat!

Our First Commission!

Our first commission for a 30th birthday party, lots of cakes with real strawberry icing! Oh, and a sneaky peek at our logo on the box.

OOXXOO Presents Stolen Records at the Albany Theatre Deptford

We had a stall at a event at the Deptford Albany theatre, famous for being the place Jools Holland first started playing with his rhythm and blues orchestra, did not see him though! The night was run by a cool Deptford magazine OOXXOO and Stolen recordings. It was a lot of fun and we got a few records off the record stall too.

This is the stall before the hoards descended.

We brought along our pink friend Bishop Brennan, as you can see he found good use for the cake cases.

Telegraph Hill Cake Competition

Our entry to the Telegraph Hill Cake Competition was Crocodile Cullen. Sadly we were pipped to the post by a scale model in cake of Telegraph Hill Park.
